ASOS - X1 - Survivor

 Being a survivor, is actually not just being able to survive a bad event. What is desired is to survive & recover much better than before. Because there were some survivors, but the condition became worse than before.

 

This ASOS - X1 - Survivor NFTshirt design is a reflection of my life, of my struggles. Maybe I'm not a special person, but at least my story can inspire you.

 

I was born 38 years ago in the city of Surakarta, a city in the middle of the island of Java, Indonesia. I was born in an ordinary family, a family that used to think negatively but didn't realize it, because it was considered a natural thing. One example of negative thoughts is like this: Accept your life as it is, don't expect too high.

As a result, I grew up to be someone who doesn't believe that dreams can come true.

 

I lived in Surakarta until I was 22 years old, after which I move to Borneo. And I began to learn about the reality of life, little by little I began to learn, that dreams are very realizable. At the age of 25 I returned to Surakarta & that's when my struggle began.

It started with an effort to get rid of negative thoughts that had been ingrained in my mind since birth, this made me not feel good at home, I had to go out.

 

I changed jobs several times, starting as a dishwasher to a helper in a printing house. I worked in printing in 2007 & since then I started to learn about graphic design, a science that I use until now.

 

In 2012 I got married & the following year my wife gave birth to a beautiful daughter. I love my daughter & wife very much, I will do anything to make them happy. Due to pressure from my big family who disagreed with my thoughts, in 2015 I decided to take my daughter & wife to move to Yogyakarta, a big city which is about 60km from my hometown. I cut ties with my big family & in this new city I started a new life & struggle from scratch, without anyone's help.

 

God is Good. In this new city, my life is getting better. The company where I work is growing bigger & I have a big role to play there, that's why my boss gave me a pretty big salary. My daughter can go to a good school & my wife is provided for.

 

In 2018 I started a side business & this business grew bigger and bigger. From a financial point of view, I am very well off. My big family began to acknowledge my struggles & apologized for the mistakes during this time. The year 2019 was the culmination of my struggles since moving to this new city, I felt I had everything at that time.

 

Until early 2020, the pandemic came & I think you all can guess what happens next. Within 6 months my life changed, from having everything, to having nothing, plus so many debt.
